The South Australia Government has signed the prestigious and highly impacting Designated Area Migration Agreement to work in cooperation with the federal government. There was an announcement to this effect last month.
The aim of this agreement is helping business establishments and other employers to find skilled foreign workers. This will also help them to work in sectors that face skill shortages.
Two Agreements
South Australia will benefit from Two Agreements
The First serves the Adelaide Metropolitan region.
A statement by the officials of Migration SA states that 60 occupations exist on the Adelaide Innovation and Technology Agreement to extend all possible support to the Adelaide City Deal.
There are Concessions in this agreement that address explicit challenges like attracting skilled workers through offering paths to get temporary work visa for Australia which later converts into Australia permanent residency visa.
The second Agreement – the South Australian Regional Workforce Agreement is, in fact, a DAMA covering the state entirely. It has the presence of 114 occupations.
These occupations provide employers the ability to access as well as retain skilled workers in major regional growth. The industries are Agri-business, Healthcare, Care for the aged, Construction, Hospitality, Tourism, and Mining.
Many Opportunities An expert suggests the occupation list of South Australia for “DAMA” has popular and interesting occupations that provide a path to seek permanent residency. Jobs like Accommodation and Hospitality Management, Baker, Aged and Disability Care, Cafe and Restaurant Manager provide a path to get the Australia PR. some of the occupations normally do not lead to permanent residency by using the general skilled migration. These are Dentists and Dental Assistants and they are available with concessions. Moreover, concessions exist for employers who intend to hire professionals possessing particular skills. Some of the Concessions covering the salary, English language, skills, age, and experience broaden the scope of opportunities for the migrants. Further details relevant to the “DAMA” application process and methods of applying will be released before 1st July 2019.
