The Government of Saskatchewan welcomed 595 Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand applicants to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residency in Canada.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) held the draws on December 20. While no employment offer was required to qualify, applicants expected to record an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the SINP. Among other criteria, they additionally expected to have one year of work experience with a qualified skilled occupation identified with their field of study.

Applicants with qualified EOI profiles are granted a score out of 100 dependent on the SINP’s International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. This scoring system considers factors, for example, age, education, skilled work experience, capability in English or French, and associations with Saskatchewan.

The score decides the candidate’s ranking in the SINP’s EOI pool and the highest scoring applicants are given invitations to apply through regular draws.

 

Express Entry sub-category

An aggregate of 304 solicitations gave on December 20 went to candidates who had profiles in the federal Express Entry pool.

The SINP’s Express Entry sub-classification is connected to the federal Express Entry framework, which deals with the pool of applicants for three of Canada’s principle financial class migration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

In the event that candidates in the Federal Express Entry pool likewise filled out an EOI for Saskatchewan, and they scored 69 on the SINP’s Points Assessment Grid they may have been chosen in the most recent invitation round.

Express Entry applicants who apply for and get a provincial nomination from the region of Saskatchewan are granted an extra 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score at the federal level, and are viably ensured an encouragement to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

 

Occupations In-demand sub-category

The Occupations In-Demand sub-class is available to migration competitors who don’t have a federal Express Entry profile.

There were 291 Occupations In-Demand candidates welcomed to apply for a provincial nomination, and like the Express Entry sub-class, candidates required a provincial score of 69 so as to be picked.

The SINP has now given 6,284 solicitations to applicants in both sub-classifications throughout 16 invitation rounds since September 25, when Saskatchewan updated its Occupations In-demand list.

The SINP moved away from a constrained In-Demand Occupations List this fall. Rather, they made an Excluded Occupations List that extended the number of qualified occupations for both sub-classes from 19 to more than 200.

The 16 draws held since this change have focused on candidates in a wide assortment of qualified occupations.

The December 20 draw gave solicitations to applicants in 96 occupations. A portion of these sought after occupations include: corporate team leads; supervisors, finance and insurance office workers; and paralegals.
