The streams touched by the proposed changes in the Ontario immigrant nominee program include;
1. The in-demand skills stream.
2. The Entrepreneur stream.
3. The masters and PhD stream.
4. The entry-aligned express stream.
5. The corporate stream.
Proposed changes in the in-demand skills stream
The In-demand skills stream proposed changes include the addition of three occupations in the existing seven and they include;
1. NOC 7511 for truck drivers.
2. NOC 3413 for orderlies, nurses and other associates who take part in patient services.
3. NOC 4412 for housekeepers, home support workers, and other related occupations.
The prosed changes advocate the lowering of the paid amount basing on experience. However, this applies to candidates in occupations that require nine months to one year experience.

The entrepreneurial stream proposed changes state that a business whose location is in the GTA is to create to the least two permanent full jobs for the citizens of Canada within its first 20 months of establishment. In addition, a business situated outside the GTA Or in the digital communications field is to create one permanent full-time job for one Canadian citizen within its first 20 months of establishment.

In the masters and PhD stream, the proposed changes state that applicants through this stream should submit proof that they obtained their degrees from a certified Ontario institution or a letter from an eligible Ontario higher learning institution. The document of proof must be at least two years from the date of application.
Proposed changes in the entry-aligned express stream
In this stream, there were proposed minor changes concerning the three Ontario immigrant nominee program associated with the Ontario pnp express entry. According to the changes, the priorities in human capital, skilled trade, and French skilled worker streams would have the dates for qualifying work experience changed.
Under these changes, the express entry candidates who receive nomination after application will receive a 600 points award towards their ranking score in their express entry.

It was proposed that the corporate stream be terminated due to its failure to meet its objective of bringing in international business investments to Ontario.
