Canada, in the new express entry draw that was held on December 9 invited a total of 5,000 immigration applicants to register for permanent residence.
The applicants who are invited should have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of a minimum of 469 with regards to getting an invitation.
This December 8 draw, the number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued in are up to 102,350, which is known to be the record-breaking highest number of invitation.
Express entry means Canada’s immigration application management system for the three federal economic-class programs, i.e., the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
A participant in these draws and the provincial nominee program (PNPs) is assigned a score based on their CRS. The points have been allocated based on participants’ human capital factors such as age, education, work experience, and language ability in English or French.
The applicants with the maximum scores received an ITA, which they can use in applying for Canadian permanent residence.
The number of ITAs that have been issued are one of the highest to date. Canadian government beat its target on November 18, at that time when the record-breaking 5000 ITAs were given. We had never seen even a single year when the number of ITAs issued had crossed 100,000.
The maximum number of ITAs that is in the way for Canada’s commitment to invite more than 4,00,000 new immigration in the upcoming year 2021, among these are making their way through the express entry system.
If the situation arises that there is a tie among any of the candidates, then IRCC uses the tie-breaking rule. So under this draw, applicants with more than the CRS score of 469 or more are required to submit their express entry profile before June 4, in the year 2020, at 22:26:05 UTC with regard to receive an invitation.
This draw is noticed for the second time where the CRS requirement is coming down to 469. The CRS is generally above the 470 in all the draws. The Federal Skilled Trades Program draw is the only draw held on August 6 that has invited trades workers with a CRS score of 415, and the recent Canadian Experience class is the only draw that came down into the score of 440s.
PNP is the only single draw with maximum requirements as those express entry applicants who got a provincial nomination are automatically assigned an additional 600 CRS points. Apart from this, PNPs also provide the alternative route to permanent residence, especially for the express entry participants with a lower CRS score.
Who is invited?
Below given are some examples that will provide you with the idea that all anyone can be invited to today’s draw.
Abdel Karim is 29 years old, holds a Master’s degree, and is currently working as an accountant for over four years. He recently wrote the IELTS and has received eight marks in each category. And the most surprising thing is that Abdel Karim never studied nor worked in Canada, and if we talk of its CRS, then he has received the CRS score of 478, which means it is up to the requirement for obtaining an ITA in today’s draw.
Elazar and Sarah are both 35 years old, and both are married to each other. Both of them hold bachelor’s degrees and are currently working as software developers for over five years, and both of them exhibit intermediate English language proficiency.
He submitted an express entry profile along with Sarah as a principal applicant and earlier received a CRS score of 304. One of the Canadian provinces i.e., Ontario invite both of them to apply for nomination, and now their score has extended up to 904. And hence, they also received the ITA in the ongoing express entry draw.
